Disappointed to see such neglect of a heritage and historical building, almost completely encroached

This place is not at all haunted. But unfortunately, it lies in a dilapidated condition. Nothing is accessible from outside.

This place is in total ruins. Sadly our government is doing nothing to stop encroachment and preserve it's natural heritage.

There is no clear access to the place. It's totally encroached upon. The ASI seems to be working on renovating it but the pace of work suggests that much more needs to be done. And apart from on board, there is no indication or information available on site.

The building is under restoration with no entry allowed. The houses have encroached most of the grandeur of the historic building, you won't even realize a heritage lies until and unless your sole objective is to find a way to it. You pass by the small houses, their doorways and reach the other side. Sorry state of affairs.

Nothing significant to see except for the age old structure in a pathetic situation. Don't understand why government doesn't bring it down to make something useful on that land.

This is the house where the major decisions of a war, which had changed the future of the nation upside down, has been taken. Robert Clive resided here soon after the battle of Plassey for a short period, is what is known about the house. May be a few years away from complete destruction, total take over and encroachment, this has to be kept alive as a memorial for those millions who were killed in the famines ensued after the British invasion of Bengal. Also as a reminder for the stolen millions and the skeletal remains - which the british left after two centuries long looting - which India is today. In very bad shape dur to zero maintenance. Need Urgent attention.

Look like a haunted house.Every thing is ruined. One of the dying heritage buildings in the city of Kolkata, Clive house is one of the oldest buildings named after Robert Clive, the first British Governor-General. ‘As a dumb witness of the glorious past, a desolate plaque at the entrance of the dilapidated and distressed structure proclaims that Lord Clive did stay here and hence it acquired the name Clive House.’ In 2001, remnants of a 2,000-year-old civilization were excavated from the site. Today the structure is surrounded by apartments in the heart of North Kolkata. Now, even though it is a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India, Clive House is largely ignored as we can see chunks of the structure falling on the ground, helplessly calling for conservation!
