About Jugnu - Let's make everyone shine
We, being fortunate enough to have been endowed with opportunities and resources, intend to bring rays of hope, knowledge, confidence, and independence, in the lives of these not-so-fortunate children. Just the way a Jugnu (firefly) sparkles against the night, we wish to show them a path towards an enlightened future-through education. It is not just education, but the right type of education where children would be able to understand the things they are being taught.
JUGNU-LETS’s MAKE EVERYONE SHINE began its journey with a small cloth donation drive named as VASTRA DAAN ABHIYAN organised in SOUTH DELHI, in March 2013. Followed by another Donation Drive for Uttarakhand Flood Victims, we donated clothes, goods and medicines which were sent to the prone victims.
Stepping forward, we reached Shahabad Daulatpur slums and identified the need of education in the area via a small educational survey. We came to the conclusion that most of the children do not go to school and hence we initiated a Project named DAAKHILA in Jan-Mar 2014 in which we enrolled children in nearby government schools.
