Charles John Canning, 1st Earl Canning, was an English statesman who was the Governor-General of India and later became the first Viceroy of India when power was transferred from the East India Company to the British Crown following the end of the revolt of 1857. These photos indicate the ignorance of this amazing architecture by the local government, which is absolutely a disgrace attitude towards the history of Incredible India. Recently, this building is under central government heritage plan and expecting a little consideration in the nearby future.

This old heritage British house is of the then British Governor General of India Lord Canning. It's located near Bidyadhari River. The abandoned historical heritage building is now under government heritage department. The place is a few minutes distance from canning railway station by toto. The main river is 10-15 minutes walking distance from the house. You will get launch to Sunderban from here.

Heritage sight and need to be protected. People must visit there and should know the history behind building the house there.

It's a Old administrative House of British Era and Was Built by Lord Canning. Route - It's about 1km from Canning Railway Station. You will get Toto easily and all types of vehicles can be arrived here so that's not the main problem. But it needs attention, it need some improvement. It's a basically slum area everyone captured the nearby area illegally. You cant go there during rainy season. It's is a just khandhar nothing else.

An amazing structure of 18th Century .. Heritage Of Our Bengal .. But the building is becoming abandoned day by day .. There is a man who lives there , he said this building is going for redevelopment very soon but when it will happen nobody knows ... It desperately needs redevelopment because we should save our heritage and specially this kind of things which was built in 18th century . The building is standing there from 18th century and it witnessed so many things ... Govt should definitely think something about it very soon .. I visited there on 02.01.2022 .. Now i want to talk something about the road , please don't go blindly with Google map , whenever Google will guide you into a tiny road please do ask someone for better guidance .. i visited by bike and Google guided me in a Wrong way and it took me to a railway track and the road was straight but there was no road , there was only railway tracks ... So its better to ask some local person whenever it feels unsafe ..

A great place for people interested in history. But not maintained at all. It's almost in ruins. Very near to Canning Railway Station
