★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Originally a Tibetan settlement, it comprises of an amalgamation of the native culture in the heart of Delhi. As you enter the main gate of Aruna Nagar aka Majnu Ka Tilla, the whole surrounding transforms into a little Tibet.
You will find Buddhist monks strolling on the lanes, soft butter tea aroma lingers along the alleys and if you want to shop some authentic North Eastern spices, noodles or vegetable you can purchase them from the street side vendors. Dumplings a are must try here. It's cheap, it's authentic and it's made in the house kitchen sold by the locals here from their varandhas. Go after 1:30 if you want to pay respect and prayers in the two monestries here.
