★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Featuring in almost all internet articles on best place to eat at Pune, we finally visited East Street Cafe and have nothing much to talk aside feel it’s a big overhyped place, living in past glory.
The ambience and music is just fine, but not worth revisiting if the food is ordy.
The Kashmiri Noodle soup was basically bland with milky taste. Grated Chicken pieces I could count. 2/5.
The arrabiata cream sauce Pasta was decent. 3/5
The pizza you can see the pic and use magnifying glass to spot chicken cubes.. Taste just about ok. 3/5.
The mango pickle fish tikka didn’t taste good and a piece of two were over burnt. There was no taste of Mango pickle. 2/5.
The jhoomta hua chicken curry (with rum) was excess spicy although the dish doesn’t have ? marked against it… there were 4-5 tiny bony pieces with hardly any meat. The gravy was more but what to do with gravy when taste isn’t great and excess spicy. 2/5
Would I visit this place again? No.
I am thankful to one serving person who guided me that Dineout pay will save me 10% of the bill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great somber ambience, smoking allowed, limited space and high stools. Good food, expensive but worth the quantity
There's wine in a can available in bar as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ambience is great, it's very unique as compared to other cafes. It's crowded on a weekday. So, book your table early, if possible. The food is nice, but very expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was not up to the mark. Loaded nachos were told as loaded nachos but it didn’t have anything like loaded cheese or vegetables. Peri peri chicken fingers were very dry. And ambiance was dull. Ambiance and taste was better before. Its changed now?
