★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its a steep trail of 8-9km from Jia village. It comes under moderate difficulty. There is another route which is 13km but easy as proper route is there. Keep in mind that there is limited water on the way of trek in winters. A good guide to reach temple is a must if you are hiking for first time to this temple. Advice would be to take your own camps if plan to stay overnight. Aadi Himani Chamunda temple is the main temple of maa chamunda devi. For people who find difficulty in reaching temple there is second temple near gopalpur.

Aadi Himani Chamunda temple as viewed against the backdrop of the Dhauladhar mountains. This is a makeshift temple after the original temple was burnt by lightning in February 2014
Aadi Himani Chamunda Temple( 3185 meters) is located on a hilltop North East to the existing Shree chamunda Devi Mandir in Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh.
The trek to Aadi Himani Chamunda Devi requires about 5–6 hours and moderate expertise is required.
There is no perennial water point available on this trek route or at the temple, so it is advisable to carry your own water.
