★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very humbling experience being involved with Aashiyana - Home for the Homeless. David & Joyce takes care of all the 100+ children (very well-mannered and groomed boys & girls right from 2-year-old to 16-year-old). All the kids are receiving education, health needs taken care of and staying together here.
They run on individual donation. You can get involved or help them in any way possible not only monetarily or buying them goods but also by spending time with them by taking up volunteer activities here. (My friend teaches them dance)
God bless them all and hats off to the couple David & Joyce for their herculean effort, dedication and faith involved to take care of the underprivileged, selflessly.
Tip: Aashiyana has moved to a new location from Dumdum Cantonment to Madhyamgram. In google Map, type ‘Birpur Primary School – Madhyamgram’. Park your vehicle and walk to Aashiyana.
