β β β β β TRUE EXPERINCE PLEASE DO 2 MINUTES READ!!
I live in Durgapur, very near to ashray(Animal protection organization in Durgapur, West Bengal). I am writing True experience here. I truly appreciate and thankful for the support this team give. But at the same time I am disappointed with the support/treatment they give. I took a street cat who met an accident here on 29th Jan 2022. They clearly denied to take a look also after many requests on first day. They asked me to send an video if they feel its injured enough they will allow me to bring the injured cat. I didn't have any option, I took her to home , did some first aid & called Government Veterinary Hospital's stuff for help, she( nurse from Govt hospital) came and gave tetanus. The cat became stable, was able to drink some milk and water. But couldn't drink much and was in pain. I came back again to ashray(Animal protection organization in Durgapur, West Bengal) next day(30th Jan 2022) for treatment as it was Sunday I didn't get any doctor available. The Cat was not able to eat anything, she was in pain. once I went there next day (30th Jan 2022) they finally agreed to see and push some injections without even understanding whether those injection may cause some serious side effects. She was not able to eat anything, they didn't bother to think about it before pushing multiple injections. She was heavily de-hydrated, not sure if she was pregnant. immediately after they injected the cat and asked me to take her along with me and look after her. while holding the cat she has bitten me. I started taking rabbis vaccine. still I took her home and tried to look after her as they denied to keep her in ashray. I insisted them, requested them to keep her until she comes out of danger but they didn't care. at evening she was not drinking water also. I again tried contacting them seeking for help but they told they have scheduled operation to perform tomorrow ( 31-01-2022), and they cant accept her.
It was very painful for the cat she was screaming . I called one more doctor for help but no response as it was happy Sunday for them. Government Veterinary Hospital was also closed as it was Sunday, Ashray people knew it but didn't help and after 4 hours the cat died in my home.
It was clearly visible the cat's health degraded after those injections.
This is painful!! after so many request if a wounded animal doesn't get minimum support from here. It doesn't justify to be Ashray.
I hope this place improves, mentality of the people managing it changes. and no other, NO OTHER wounded animal should die with wrong treatment and without treatment.

β β β β β The worst NGO ever. Can't take care of any animal properly. Dirty and smelly place. Very bad customer service. The owners here talk rudely, no manners at all. Gave them the responsibility to take care of my dog for a few days only to come and see that my dog was traumatized. It wont come close to anyone at home. Didn't even feed it properly. Also ask for extra fees for surgery. Worst NGO, please don't go there and let your dear pet suffer like mine ?

β β β β β The place is a shelter home and it is not a govt. Organisation.Often many wounded dogs are rescued here so it is obvious that the place might look dirty.I went there thrice for 3 dogs.1st one was injured badly he could not stand on his hind,it was broken. They took care of the animal and made him fine.I gave them some money in return. On the next two occasion one dog died and the other became perfectly ok by their medical advice which was free of cost.I have seen them working hard for all the stray animals.Sometimes it may sound that they don't care when you call because they are burdened with work.So repeated calling will only bother them.I had kept my own pet dog there and he is fine after coming back.So kudos to all good work!!!
