★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place for Maharashtrian food. Ambiance is excellent. All food , whatever you take is excellent. Marathi flavored ice creams are ice on cake and you should not miss it irrespective of how much full you are. Must try , we tried Narali bhat flavor. We did not liked Misal that much as it was not that spicy but rest all were excellent.

In all loved all the dishes we tried and definitely they were authentic and yummy.
The ambiance, service, crowd all are amazing and i would definitely recommend this place for a family outing

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Something for everyone. Authentic maharashtrian cuisine for anytime of day. Be it the crisp sabudana vada, spine tingling misal or filter coffee, the food is tasty. Enough said. The “Chaitra Thali” was unbelievably good, though maybe too much quantity to handle for one person unless you order nothing else. Which is kinda hard to do. The people waiting outside in the middle of a hot and sultry day in Mumbai is evidence for how good it really is.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ V. Good place for Maharashtrian food. Value for money. Only Veg food is served here. Plus they serve South Indian food as well as Chaats and Pav Bhaji. Good ambience. Be prepared for 10 to 15 minutes waiting, which is not much. Loved their special ice creams - Puranpoli icecream and Narli Bhat icecream.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When you are in Dadar you must visit Aaswad for authentic misal, vada pav, thalipeeth and many other classic maharashtrian dishes. You should not miss misal, vada pav, piyush and thalipeeth at this place. It's a foodie's heaven. Beautiful ambience and friendly staff. They also serve south indian, pav bhaji, pizzas, milkshakes and many other types of coolers.

Staff is vey cooperative. Inspite of being Sunday all the dishes served were fresh and hot.
Three in house ice cream flavours are wonderful, just have them without second thought.
The price for two including sweet dishes was below Rs500.
A very reasonable prices food and very enjoyable

I've visited more than 3 times in last few months and everytime time tried different food and never been disappointed with the taste, presentation and quantity. I loved the Special Basundi Puri, so creamy and tasty sweet dish. It's a must try. It's a perfect place for party with Family and friends. You have to wait for your table before entry due to Covid restrictions but it's worth it. You can checkout their authentic marathi cuisine on Zomato. Try getting table on 1st floor, the ambience and view is very nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently visited this very popular joint after the pandemic. I have been coming here for many years now and have never been disappointed. However this time i wasnt very pleased with the food. They recently renovated this outlet and the interiors have been done well. The service is really good. Though the food isnt as great as before. Also the quantity isn't as good for the prices. We tried the misal pav which wasnt spicy at all and had too much potatoes. We also had the poha and sabudana vada which were decent but the quantity was poor. The only really memorable item here was the kharwas.
