 There is a very good hospital for patients with mental depression.
Dr. Dhaivat Mehta and Dr. Munira Mehta take care of their patients like a family. They are very positive and inspiring.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to see Dr. Mehta the day I was feeling worse due to my depression. I was more interested in talk therapy or psychotherapy than just medicines and I said so. When I emphasized on talk therapy more, I don't know what made him lose his cool and react angrily to my plea. These are his exact words I write here,
It is my job to decide what's best for you and right now you need medicines more. I am the doctor, not you. Agar tumhe thik hona hai to medicines lo, agar nahi to tum aaye hi kyun? Mar jate. Mera kya? Jake mar jao. I have successful as well as unsuccessful cases.
He said the mar jate part a few more times as if he didn't care. It was too overwhelming for me to take. When I said why he was being pro-medicines and pressing on me taking them, even though I was open, without even listening to what I had to say, he went on
Don't talk shot to me when you don't know what psychotherapy is and some medical jargons and this and that.
Can you believe a psychiatrist saying this to a patient on his worse day? Honestly you won't unless you have chronic depression. Agreed. He spoke the truth, but is he supposed to say some of the things he did? What an irony. I left his room right then.
I have seen one psychiatrist before in my hometown. He let me and only me talk first, tell him my whole family background, and tried to find the root of my problems. This is something you may miss in Dr. Mehta's session.
If you need good psychiatrist, I suggest, if possible, move to any bigger city like Ahmedabad, where there are quite a few doctors available and you may find someone good who can truly understand you and gives you a patient hear & not just recite the usual unorginal stuff like, log aisehi hai, pranayam karo, etc. unlike Dr. Mehta before even letting you finish.
Dear reader, it's true nobody gives a damn whether you live or die. But a psychiatrist room is the last place where you would want to hear that.
