From my childhood, I always wanted to learn Karate. Owing to this, I got admitted in the Academy of JSK Shotokan Karate-do India at the age of 19. My perspective about this sport was completely changed by my sir, Sensei Nilotpal Dutta. He is the best teacher out there in the field. Not only he is a 7th Dan Black Belt(year:2019) holder, but has every qualities that a perfect teacher would have. He has treated me like his own son, helped me in overcoming difficulties, even financially when required. Any word of praise for sir would be very cheap. Talking about this academy, I really feel proud to be a part of this academy. It has provided me with everything, a student could ask for. I have received support from many of my fellow and senior Karatekas which is indeed very unique in this world of competition. I would take this small opportunity to encourage the readers to join this academy, which would give you a perfect platform to exhibit your talent and love for this sport. ~ Md. Taufique

I am learning Karate in the Academy of JSK Shotokan Karate-do India, for more than 8 years. Over the last 8 years, I have learnt that Karate is not only fighting with friends or enemies, but it is a way of life, it is an art. I have learned to RESPECT others more than ever before, I have learnt to CONTROL MY EMOTIONS in the worst of times and most importantly learned to PROTECT myself and my close ones in times of need. I have learned to be a man with DISCIPLINES and all the credit goes to our Chief Instructor of the Academy, SENSEI NILOTPAL DUTTA. I have met with many other instructors and with all due respect to them, I can assure you that Sensei Nilotpal Dutta is way better than most of the people out there. He has always supported me, encouraged me to push my limits and do better in every tournament, I have participated. In-short, if you are willing to learn Karate from a "GENUINE" and "AUTHENTIC" source in West Bengal, the Academy of JSK Shotokan Karate-do India is your best stop. I would recommend it to everyone who is aspiring for a career in the field of Karate.

Truly speaking, I never had any interest in Karate, untill I had joined Karate seven years ago. It didn't take me too long to develope a love for this sport and all the credit goes to my sir, Sensei Nilotpal Dutta. Our academy, the Academy of JSK Shotokan Karate-do India is an organisation who is affiliated to the Karate Association of India, hence is authentic. I have participated in various tournaments and have won many medals and certificates. I have experienced many ups and downs in my Karate life but Sensei Nilotpal Dutta has always encouraged me and had never let my morale down. Summing up, it was an excellent journey?, a journey which I would recommend to all readers?

I’ve been training in karate for over four years now and I am a purple belt. I would like to share how karate has helped me develop as a person and provided me with the tools for self-defence. Firstly, I am going to talk about karate as a self-defence martial art because that is what it is. In a world where we are exposed more and more to the dangers of crime, it is important to know a few self-defence moves because no one knows if they might end up in a situation where they have to use them. Through karate, I have developed the speed in which to react when someone throws a punch and I have learnt how to get out of grabs and holds. What do I like most about my karate training? I enjoy that every lesson I go to, I am guaranteed to learn something new and no karate lesson is ever the same. As well as that, all the instructors are awesome. They know everyone by name, they all want what’s best for their students and they give up their own time each week to teach which is really inspiring. Karate has also developed my character and my personality. I’m very shy and I didn’t think that I’d be training for as long as I have done and enjoying it as much as I do. I’m on a high after a karate lesson. Admittedly, there are weeks where I do feel down about karate, but most people get that occasionally. Karate has definitely improved my self-confidence. My main goal in karate is to achieve my black belt, which I will continue to strive to reach. My favourite karate-based quote is “a black belt is a white belt who never quit” because it’s such a simple yet powerful message which teaches us not to give up on our dreams. To conclude, I’m enjoying my karate journey and I am glad that it’s helped to shape the person that I am today. I can’t imagine my life without it. ?❤️
