★ ★ ★ ★ ★ School staff members are rude & they are very irresponsible. I don’t like the behaviour they did with the parents inside the school campus when the parents want to meet the principal to discuss about the fees hiking. 30% hike in the fee annually. The management ask the parents take TC after paying the 1st instalment of the school which is about 40k. The school has worst management systems I had come across. But I must the teachers n the teaching style is goods no doubt. The * which I gave to school is just bcoz of teacher

growth in different areas and we collaboratively discuss how we can help him in areas he’s
struggling. I really appreciate this communicative relationship between us parents and teachers.
It has made things so easy and transparent for us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I see all the good experiences here however I would like to share one of the scariest experiences in my daughter's 9th standard. Everything was good until the teacher immediately resigned. We were furious as how can they do this in the middle of an important year. Later the management took an immediate parent meeting and we were informed of the real reason behind the resignation which had nothing to do with school. Soon the school arranged the new faculty which was equally efficient. Thanks Orchid

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My both Daughters are studying in orchid school since last 3 years and we like the school campus, teaching methods, teachers and the Principal. There is good exposure to different opportunities like Student council, non academic activities etc...Only concern is the teachers during this academic year have changed frequently during which needs to be focused and corrected.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pandemic got a completely different way of living for all of us. Kids were not an exception. Schooling online was a challenge already. After the third wave the schools decided to re open my child was unable to socialize, he would drift away from group of kids giggling or playing games. Approaching class teacher was also a challenge for him. Thanks to all the teachers of Orchid school. My child was comforted at first and then gradually his class teacher was able to bring out his doubts and queries. It amazes me how gracefully they handle kids always.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My child could not attend school because of the pandemic in Kindergarten. I was very worried if he will be able to adjust to the new environment and ways of learning. I am happy to see that the teachers at Orchid are very helpful and kind. The syllabus at Orchid's is also excellent and encourages him to do better without comparing his progress with fellow students.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This review is for Orchids Newtown Kolkata branch. My child has been studying from Nursery since 2019. I have no complaints about the teachers and the curriculum but the management is pathetic. The school management is very unethical, unprofessional, and lacks the quality to run a school. They have a money-minting attitude and think parents are just captives in their hands and would pay whatever they demand.
Recently they have increased their fees by 38% compared to last year which is absurd. When parents protested, there is no response from management except telling to take transfer certificate if we cannot afford to pay. The hike of 38% is absurd and unprecedented but when parents asked for an justification from the school authority, there is absolutely no response. When parents gathered together to meet the principal to seek an answer, the school didn't bother to meet the parents but rather called the cops.
If you're considering to admit your child to this school, think twice!! There are many good schools in and around Newtown (with standards/facilities equal to or better than Orchids) but please stay away from Orchids !!
