Our two manufacturing facilities – located at Rishra in West Bengal and Halol in Gujarat have an installed capacity of 56,400 MTPA, producing the widest range of insulators in India. We manufacture insulators for transmission lines & substations up to 1200 kV voltage level, as well as insulators for equipment & railways. We specialise in both technologies of insulators — ceramic insulators which have an operating life cycle of over three decades, and composite insulators which display superior operational performance in high pollution & coastal areas.

Aditya Birla Insulators leverages the rich legacy of the Aditya Birla Group and the technical expertise accrued through about five decades in the industry. We are the only insulator manufacturer globally to use bar codes for product traceability during the entire production process.
Our Rishra unit, which produces ceramic insulators for transmission lines, is ISO 14001:2004, ISO 9001:2015 & OHSAS 18001:2007 certified, while the Halol unit, which produces ceramic insulators for substation applications as well as composite long rod insulators, is ISO 14001:2004, ISO 9001:2008 & OHSAS 18001:2007 certified. Further, our labs at Rishra are NABL accredited.
