★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best place for flamingo safari. Owned by locals, they offer everything from food to stay. You can even rent telephoto lens. Fish is amazing here. Recommend them for your Safari.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bhigwan bird sanctuary is around 2.5 hours from Pune. We visited the Agnipankh Flamingo point in the evening around 4 pm and went on a boat trip to watch flamingos. We stayed overnight and took another boat ride early morning 6:30 pm.
If you are a wildlife photographer, you would definitely enjoy this serene place. Please make sure to get a good DSLR camera and/ot binoculars.
Sandeep Nagare (our host) has a newly built homestay with clean living rooms and an open vehicle parking lot, where you could park many vehicles. You could get a Marathi veg and non-veg cuisines for dinner and breakfast. You could pay by GPay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ideal place to do bird watching. They have boarding and lodging facilities, few rooms and tents. I am a regular here, do it every year, schedule a sunset boat ride and a sunrise boat ride to catch the various birds in their natural habitat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and simple place and we'll organized tours. They have couple of guest house and gives breakfast and veg/ non veg meals at reasonable rates. You can book 1.5 hour or 3.0 hour trip. Trip includes boat with life jacket and guide. Trip starts from 6:30am and last boat leaves at 5:30pm. Boat Trip cost is Rs 1000/- with complimentary bird book and meals varies from Rs130/- to Rs 180/- a fixed thali. All food are home cooked. Best time to visit is Dec to April.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great people and lots of birds to watch. Its crowded on weekends. Better go in early morning around 6-7 am. Or camp there and watch in early morning.
Camping facilities are also available.
