★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just besides Gurudwara Ratwara Shahib. Authority ensure cleaniness n provides necessary equipments to their people, staff is also well trained.
I had a emotional experience here, meeting old uncles and aunts who are missing their kids.
Other people can also bring smile on these old age people by spending some time with them. By celebrating your bday or some special day here at old age home. You will surely get lots of blessing from them.

Inmates treated like prisoners. Rather die then get old people wll admitted here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On 1st march 2020, I and my brother (Sarpanch) took a visit to an Old age home located near our village mullanpur (Newly constructed urban space called "New Chandigarh")
We met many elderly people who are living in this beautiful constructed AKAL OLD AGE HOME. Aged people who living here are not only from the Punjab but also from other states as well like Haryana, HP, west Bengal etc..
It was disheartening to hear the stories of each elderly.....
Earlier there was no concept of Old Aged Home in the outskirt of Chandigarh, Urban area is often known for its anonymity, individualism, impersonal relations, social differentiation, transience and organic type of solidarity, whereas in the rural area, one can see close kinship ties, respect of elders.....
We are always busy in collecting materialist things, but giving less importance to the human values....
