Very irresponsible and Greedy doctor. We opted for this doctor as she was the paediatrician present during the birth of my child. Doctor is never reachable /available in times of emergency and assistant gives medicines in name of Doctor. Doctor does apple to apple comparison for each patient irrespective of each patient's immune system. My child suffered a 'fit' and landed at ICU at the age of 9 months due to highly unprofessional lethargic attitude of doctor during time of emergency. Doctor charges 3x times for vaccines which are easily available at other paediatricians at 'x' cost. Still one can overlook money when it comes to your child's health but not ignorance from a Doctor.

I had exactly same experience as shared by Jaspal Singh. Her weighing scale reading is only visible to her. It is very common that children lose about 10% weight immediately after birth. But just in a week after birth, reading the weight which is only visible to her, she made all the conclusions in the world. She didnt even bother to ask how many times child passes urine and stool, this is a basic question before making worse conclusions which I dont even want to write here. When we observe the child daily it shows all the signs that child is active and doing well. Althought we continued breastfeeding and mother has more than enough milk, she suggested to express the milk using pump and feed it externally instead of breast feeding. Accoring to her theory kids get tired while sucking and hence they do not drink enough milk. Hence it should be expressed with pump and fed externally. She handles newborn kids carelessly. We decided not to consult with her any more.

Unfortunately, we came across Dr Neeta Prabhu as she was the visiting paediatrician at the maternity hospital our baby was born. It's a known fact that new borns lose around 10% of birth weight in the 1st week. Instead of waiting to see if the baby gains weight later, this Dr immediately prescribed Lactogen and insisted that it is required for weight gain. Being aware of the harmful effects of such formulas we didn't really continue with lactogen and our baby was only breastfed. During hospital discharge the Dr instructed that we were to not massage or bathe until the baby crosses 2.7 kg. Our baby gained adequate weight post discharge. We were called at her clinic later to check if the baby is gaining weight during the 3rd week. According to her there was no weight gain and we were asked to come again after a week. In a time where awareness about exclusive breast feeding for the 1st 6 months is so high, this LADY Dr again insisted that we should use lactogen. On informing that our baby passes enough urine and stools per day, the Dr had a weird theory that breast milk is not responsible for stool formation and that they are formed by some internal secretions. The weighing scale at her clinic is placed in such a manner that only she can see the reading. Also, now she advised us that we could start with massage and bath in spite the weight being under 2.7 and thus contradicting her earlier advice. On questioning she had no logical explanation for the same. Suspecting that our baby had gained weight, we checked her weight at another clinic proving us right. This Dr misled us with wrong advice and just wanted us to come every week for check up. It is disappointing to see such a doctor who is careless and just wants to make money in any manner even if it means giving wrong treatment and information. This doctors advice cannot be trusted. Not recommended at all!!
