#alurukona #ranganathaswamitemple Built in 1334 AD by Yerramraju, who was a chieftain at Bukkraya court of Vijayanagara dynasty, Aluru Kona Ranganathaswamy Temple is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Here, Lord Vishnu is worshipped as Lord Ranganatha Swamy. Built on top the hills, the temple holds 51.48 acres of Land. Legend According to the legends, once Vishwamitra Maharishi was conducting the yagnas. His yagna was disturbed by the demons named Tadaka and Mareechan. Due to the hindrance of the demons, Vishwamitra was unable to do the Yagna. Vishwamitra went to Ayodhya and asked the King Dasarathan to send his sons along with him to forest to kill the demons. Lord Rama and Lakshman went with Vishwamitra. They killed the demons. Later, a temple was built on the spot by Yerramraju. Architecture The temple is built on top of the hills. There is an entry arch on road and 50 steps that leads to the temple. The entrance leads to a spacious place where a Dhwajastambham stands with a beli peetam or sacrificial stone. There is yet another smaller Dhwajastambham in granite beyond that. There is a natural spring next to the temple, where water flows between the rocks for the whole year. Aluru Kona Ranganayakula Swamy Temple is located at Ananthapur district,TDP Yerramraju, the boss at Bukkraya court of Vijayanagara kingdom built this temple in 1334 AD. I heard that around the temple they are big rocks like wall. By seeing the star's, pujari would say to lift that large rocks are kept one on another only by two persons, at that time that rocks are light weight. Aluru kona is the best place where we see the beautiful natural and Waterfalls, fields. From tadipatri busstand to Aluru kona is around 11 km. My suggestion is go with ur family or with ur friends & have Fun.

ஆங்கிலத்தில் எழுதுவதற்கு மன்னிக்கவும். After coming out of Bugga Ramalingeshwara temple, we asked the local people the direction for this temple. Took their guidance and advice. Want to say that we came across this temple exists here on the very day we were starting from chennai, so we told ourselves, that if we have time, then we would definitely visit this temple also, since the name kind of sounded very sexy. There are two routes to this temple, and the local advised us to take the route via Juturu, which kind of leads directly to the temple. There is a big arch, which is kind of the reference mark to take the left turn if you are going by a car or bike. Interestingly there are share autos running from tadipatri to this temple, not sure about their timings / frequency or the rates. We took the route / road that was advised, which was kind of below average to average, so one has to be kind of slow when you drive on these roads. We reached the temple in half hour, and lucky for us the temple was open. We climbed the 30 - 35 odd steps to the temple. The temple was kind of empty and some repair work was going on, and strangely the temple priest was there inside the temple. We had a very good arti darshan. Here the Lord is sayana kolam (in lying posture) but interesting to see that he was fully turned on one side. Normally he is in lying posture on his back. Temple is kind of small, but very nicely built and maintained too. Not sure who is funding this temple, because it was having granite floors, Air con etc. Was kind of very surprised to see a temple in such a remote place, that too, so clean and maintained so well. Full marks to the people who are maintaining the temple. Temple faces south, Lord faces south, Raja gopuram present and faces south. Kodimaram present. We didn't have the time or energy to go around looking for the water falls which is kind of close by. we were very hungry and we wanted find a place for us to eat first. Definitely worth a visit , if you are in Tadipatri.

Temple have rooms and free anna prasadam by temple trust. This very good place for weddings & baby khesh khandana other rituals. Behind the temple we can see water falls and can have bath in water. Need to maintain clean there. Authorities have to keep restrictions to maintain clean.
