Pathetic experience with the owner of Amar Handloom. The owner is very rude and not a customer centric sales person. The way he behaved with us even after his own mistake makes us regret choosing to go with him for buying curtains.
We ordered 13 blackout curtains for our entire house. And the entire experience was so poor that we would never recommend anyone to buy from this place.
1) All the curtains were nowhere close to blackout (80/100% was told to is at the time of purchase - not even close)
2) There is no fall in the curtains because they are so thin and flimsy. They look like a bedsheet hanging from the rod.
3) The sizes of ALL the curtains were wrongly cut by their tailor. So basically their staff did very poor job of cutting the curtains and mixed the length of all curtains. Now in my entire house all the curtains are mismatched and it looks horrible. Thousands of rupees home waste.
4) The attitude of the owner even after knowing that his staff made the error and mixed up all the sizes is what made the difference. He completely changed his tone when we highlighted the differences and sent the pics to him. Rather than apologising he started recommending absurd solutions rudely on the phone. Like we will cut the longer curtains and make it equal (like seriously so now we have a set of shorter curtains that what was required at the door way - which looks even more shoddy)
5) We had to pay extra cost to get them corrected (without any fault of ours) and we would never forget this bad experience of buying from a local shop like AMAR HANDLOOM.
