Great experience. Rain and jungles are best combination. Best for hangout with friend and enjoying the nature and the blackwater of ambajhari. Best for cycling and walking with family. Cycling are available there for rent and lot of places for children to experience and play zone and little wild life adventure not to big but best to refresh your mind.

Nice and serene place to visit. We had ample opportunities to sight birds. Also the infrastructure(towers) help in spotting. The trail is well laid out with proper boards and it was a refreshing experience in nature.

I have been enjoying birding and nature walks within the backwater woods and grassland for the last 9 years. It is one of the best birding destinations in Nagpur. The backwaters comprise diverse habitats such as swamp, grassland, woods, scrubland, aquatic etc that houses a myriad range of bird and mammal species. Big mammals are absent although recently the forest department has been making claims of a leopard presence. Personally, I am not very sure of such claims. Earlier this area was free for all. In recent years, the FD has taken over and introduced a chargeable entrance system. I cannot vouch for its efficacy though, as I do not see any improvement in the area except increased traffic of dreadful people who have no respect for nature and wildlife. These people create ruckus and nuisance once inside the sanctuary. There are no Forest guards to stop such people. FD is treating Ambazari as a cash cow only meant to be milked. Except the ticketed entrance, there are no improvement programme done. Cycles on rent are available. FD is trying to introduce a Keoladeo like system here (They have no idea that the two areas are fundamentally different). All the birding hides are lying in shambles. Access to the best birding spots have been closed for birders. Overall, the ambience and atmosphere of Ambazari Bird sanctuary is really good, but improper handling and revenue-generation-drive by FD is causing more harm than any good. Still, for people who want to see various birds near Nagpur, this is a good place. For more details, please contact.

I would like to see beautification of the park happening. There are many wetland parks or biodiversity parks which have built it beautifully. The roads are not good inside. Surely not good enough to ride bicycle. It is a beautiful place. But needs proper sign boards, roads. The boards with information about birds need renovation and grass clean up. If it's open for public then we have to keep it up to the mark no matter what season or time of the year it is. I was happy to see the it was mosquito free. But there's a patch of road which it's not pleasant to walk because of the drainage water, it smells so bad. Otherwise the park is clean and had viewing towers. We got to see peacocks. Thankfully the weather was fine. It felt really good to see green space within city limits. I will revisit with my family and friends.

A wonderful and refreshing place to visit. One should enjoy cycling there on the raw road. If you have decided to walk, you might get tired and not reach the lake view. Rent a cycle and enjoy the park prefer to visit it in the morningβ€”close time 5 PM.

It is worth a place to visit with your near and dear ones since it well within city limits. Also it has option to rent bicycle ? as well for Rs. 50. It is advisable to carry your own water bottle since there is no water availability once you cross the first gate. Or you can buy water at the entrance only. There is peacock ? at the centre where water is flowing.

You need friends to visit this place or you can go with you gf/bf. We had a good time. It's a part of memory now. Scenes are good. If you don't get bothered by walking then you will like this place.
