Beautiful place to visit and know about history. You should definitely heavy a guide along with you , you'll enjoy more . Jeep goes above in the fort , so a jeep and guide will cost you around 700 Rs.

I had a good experience over here. Saw historic forts and culture. You can go via elephant, jeep , 4 wheeler Or by walk . There are good photographic spots and scenerios. Guides are also available to tell us about about the fort lifestyle of that era. This is a must visit place in Jaipur ✨.

Great place with beautiful scenery. Although guide charges are high but hiring one for this place is a must. Evening's and mornings 8-11 are best otherwise it gets hot during summer.a must visit in Jaipur. Also don't forget d light and sound shows if visiting in evening nd feeding fish and birds near Lake if visiting during morning. BEWARE OF COMMISSION AGENTS WHO TRY TO GET YOU TO SHOPS.

The palace is beautiful but you will not be able to enjoy properly due to lots of people who will annoy you with things like take guide, buy stuffs, click pictures, take jeep. I understand its really normal in most tourist places but here its way tooo much that It reached to a place when we decided to leave the fort without seeing it properly.

It's so beautiful and magnificent. I loved its location. When you reach there local keep persons will be behind you to hire a jeep to go up to the palace. But trust me it's not worth. If you are physically fit you can walk/climb to the top. Its not tough at all. Rather you can enjoy the scenic beauty more better.

If you're in Jaipur you must visit the Amer Fort. Located a bit away from the Jaipur city, the Amer Fort is the most beautiful fort among all the 3 forts located near the city. The drive is an excellent experience with good roads and it becomes better in the winters. You can drive straight upto the fort and park beside the entry gate, or park in front of the fort and walk to it. Both the ways offer amazing views. You'll find local people trying to entice you into taking a Jeep ride to the fort, but it's an added unnecessary expense as you can drive your own vehicle on the same road too. There's also an elephant ride option, but if you're a human with brains and heart, you'll surely avoid it and do your bit to prevent animal cruelty. As for the fort, it is an amazing experience and you definitely should take a guide from the inside. Ask your guide to explain in details about the different structures and places in the fort and you'll have a great time. The fort is maintained by the government and thus it's mostly clean. Tickets are cheap for Indians and students, but you'll have to pay via cash or go to their website which didn't work for me. There are plenty of drinking water taps inside and the toilets are clean. There's also some souvenir shops inside which charge a bit higher but you should be able to score a good buy if you look hard and bargain well. The best time to visit the fort is in winter mornings as it gets scorching hot in the summers. The fort remains open till 6PM. Parking spaces are plenty with some hotels and restaurants nearby.

A place of very historical significance to Jaipur. The architecture is very interesting. The fort is huge and you would need around 2-3 hours to visit all parts of it. Do take a guide, it will cost you around Rs 200 but they will explain everything nicely. Tickets are only Rs 100. Photography is allowed inside the campus. Lots of places to click pictures.
