5 (Panj) Takhat Yatra
Takht or Takhat, which literally means a throne or seat of authority, is a relic of the religion of Sikhism. There are five Takhts and these Panj Takhats are 5 important Gurudwaras of Sikhism which have a significant respect for the Sikh community. In Sikhism, Guru is refrered as Sachcha Patshah (true king) and to his gaddi (spiritual seat) as Takht and the congregation he led as darbar (court). These Panj Takht take Religious, Social and Political decisions as required by Sikh community. The three Takhts are in Punjab - Akal Takht in Amritsar, Sri Keshgarh Sahib in Anandpur and Sri Damdama Sahib at Talwandi Sabo Bhatinda district. The other two of the five Takhts are located outside Punjab and are Takht Sri Patna Sahib , Patna in Bihar, and Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib at Nanded in Maharashtra. In 1609, Sri Guru Hargobind Singh established the first and the most important one of the Panj Takht 'Akal Takht' near Sri Harmandar Sahib (Golden Temple) at Amritsar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited Amritsar in 2014 and after 5 years I got chance to get in this holy city once again.
In 2-3 years it has been changed a lot, before the shops were so congested , roads were damaged, & there was no wide space at all.
But now it has been reversed as you can see in images. It's looking like a foreign country & many things have been improved.
I loved it.
The combination of this Heritage Path & Holy Golden Temple could make it a 8th Wonder of World⭐

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A neat and clean place. The area is very beautiful. The road is very clean and well made. In this way you visit Partition Museum, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Chowk, Jalianwalla Bagh and Golden Temple. These all main attractions are side of this road. The road is started from Partition Museum and end in Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple). Well decorated place with many shops of different items from food to what not!! There are many sitting places in the side of this road. You can sit and do chitchats in the afternoon and evening. Don't take auto or toto in this road, just walk and walk you enjoy the most. ❤

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing experience at Amritsar Heritage walk. I loved this place. The best part is about cleaning and good class maintainace and there is no traffic heavy traffic as well. Lightning is awesome in nighttime. There are lots of shops for shopping, There are so many restaurants for Food, So Many Hotel also available in this area. I suggested everyone for must visit this place.??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's open 24 hour. Starts from bharawan da dhaba and end at golden temple. It designed and redeveloped street walk. You will experience old style infrastructure and building in this walk. Car and other vehicles not allowed. You can sit here on public chairs. Some statues here. you can take pictures with them. It's looks beautiful. And my branded food plaza and restaurants here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is situated just before the Golden temple and acts as gateway to it. The street is filled with eateries and local delicacies. You can visit varieties of shops for window shopping and spend a good amount of time here. If you're looking for a place to stay near the golden temple, then there are few hotels as well. Its is a busy place during the day, so the best time to visit is during late night. The difference in views is amazing. You can visit Jallianwala Bagh as well. If you're keen on exploring more, then go to the inner streets, you will find lots of old shops there as well. I recommend having amritsari kulchas, buy papad wadian and find more delicious items.
