β β β β β Anchal College Padampur, a premier educational institutions of Odisha was established in the year 1965. Situated in the revenue district of Bargarh at 20 degree 58 min North latitude and 83 degree 00 min East longitude, Padampur is bounded by Nawapara district on West, state of Chhatisgarh on North-east, Bolangir district on South and the Gandhamardan hill range of the Ramayan epic fame on South-west. The Gandhamardan has a tropical dry deciduous forest enriched with rare medicinal herbs, invaluable forest products providing subsistence totribal inhabitants of this region. The famous Nrusinghnath templesituated at its foothill, 30 Kmsaway from the college, attracts thousands of devotees and tourists every year.
