★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Andhra Pradesh information commission office is previously located at atmakuru village in mangalagiri mandala, recently it is shifted from atmakuru to near by NRI hospital, chinakakani, to a newly constructing building , first floor of this building is our APIC office, total construction completed and also started working, compare with previous building new one is very easy to find reception and all commissioners chambers, it will take sometime to complete all the construction of the building ,government is taking actions to locate office in between the guntur and Vijayawada cities

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ it is very important institution in Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Commission has 3 Commissioners, who adjudicate appeal on the subject of Providing information. First you have to appeal to Public Information Officer in the office where the information which you seek is available, under Section 6 (1) of the Act. after that in case you are not satisfied you have to appeal to FIRST Appellate Authority in the same office; under section if you are not satisfied with reply from FAA, then you have to appeal to this Commission; 2nd APPEAL u/s 19 (3) of RTI Act, 2005. They are very sympathetic to petitioners. no fee is required to be paid. It is time consuming process, it may take 3 months to 6 months to hear an appeal. THE COMMISSION SHIFTED TO NEW PREMISES (MGM CAPITAL) RECENTLY

I made second Appeal for information and the concerned officials responded positively and call for the other party on the nearest date available, within weeks.
I too gave single Star one year back.
But I upgraded my rating to 5 star as the office upgraded and functioning well.
I request the office to make available RTI Act books in English and Telugu, for price.
AP Information Commission phone number is working and I called the receptionist many times and there is always someone responding promptly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not at all friendly staff especially a guy named ANANTH REDDY. I posted my letter on November 17 and I received the acknowledgement also. But till 1 FEb 2022 there is no response. When I visited the office. Mr. Anath Reddy says your format is incorrect this is not valid. So my question is if the format is incorrect why did he not send the postal back. Why is he holding the post for more than 75 days. He even has the audacity to ask me where did you get this RTI form from and how much did your Advocate demanded for filing this RTI form. This is completely unacceptable from such a prestigious office. He is not even allowing to meet the commisioner.
