Nice place to visit on the weekend. 1.3hrs journey from Kolkata. It's near to barackpur Gandhi ghat. The temple has its history. The temple is build like the structure of Dakshineswar. You could visit by train, bus, or by your car.

Didnt knew about this place before this. A mini replica of the Dakhineswar temple, near the Gandhi Ghat at Barrackpore. The temple is well renovated and restored, thanks to its popularity through the Bengali serial Rani Rashmoni. The temple was built by the grandson of the Rani, and still stands the test of time even today. Not a grand but still a very majestic and peaceful environment awaits who wants to visit this place. A must visit ??

Annapurna Temple is a very old temple which is located near Titagarh near the banks of Hoogly. It is made in the style of Dakhineshwar temple. The temple was commissoned by Rani Jagadamba the youngest daughter of Rani Rashmani (founder of Dakhineshwar temple). The place very calm and quiet. You will enjoy the blissful serenity here. There is no chaos of people selling offerings. There compound is also big with six temples of Lord Shiva. The main temple contains the deity Devi Ma Annapurna. Do visit this beautiful place.

The temple architect is a replica of Dakhineshwar temple but, it's still looks majestic. There is a river bank behind the temple and it gives a sense of calmness to the mind.

Suddenly finding out, I went to this Annapurna mother's temple a couple of years ago. At that time no maintenance was done. The atmosphere was very good and secluded. I came back after spending some time. At present the temple has been painted and cleaned.

Very good temple, got renovated and colored recently. Met at the office with the person in charge and descendant. However, the peripheral and surrounding of the temple area is filled with huts, shops and village like atmosphere. Not many people visit there. Famous during Maa Annapurna Puja which is at 9Apr'22 when many people visit there.

Rani Rashmani did the KAsi visit, the world where the famous Vishwanath temple and Annapurna Temple are for the philosophy. But on the way to the water, one night he got the dream of Goddess Kali and came back with the postponement of the Kashi, and started the work of establishing Bhavatari temple in Dakshineswar. Mathur Babu was one of the artisans to build the temple of Dakshineswar. But due to the postponement of the Kashi-pilgrimage, Mathur Babu felt that there was a latent desire to establish the Temple of Goddess Annapurna anywhere. He was looking for a suitable place. Finally, there is a place near Titaragarh near Barrackpore. Devotees Bhagatmati Jagdamba Devi also came forward to fulfill her wishes. Their son Dwikinath Biswas completed the task of constructing this temple in hard work. Although Mathur Babu could not see it. He died before the construction of the temple was completed. There is another notable event associated with this temple. A lion statue at the top of the temple is at the top of the main entrance. According to the public, this lion protects the temple from all dangers. Once upon a time the British government began to pressure the temple authorities to remove the statue of the lion. Because, they thought Singh was the symbol of the British Empire, so the temple authority has no right to use that statue. At the end, the parties came to the court. After many years of legal battle, the temple authorities finally won the case. The court said that the statue of Lion should be allowed to remain an art and art like him. Recently, this Annapurna Temple in Titagarh was blessed with the philosophy. As I said earlier, the temple was built in the form of Bhavatarii temple of Dakshineswar. Like the Temple of Dakshineswar, there is also the Natmandir, the Shiva temple (six in number, though the number of Shivmandir's twelve in Dakshineswar). The height of the main temple, ie Annapurna temple, is slightly higher than the Bhabtarani temple. In the womb, there is a wonderful gift of Lord Shiva and Annapurna.
