All the produce is first brought to the market yard and then sold through the auction so that the farmer gets the best price depending upon the quality of their produce.
APMC Unjha is the largest spice market in Asia. This is famous for Jiru, Feral, Isabgul, Rayado, Sesame, Azmo, Suva etc. Unjha is the largest cumin seeds and masala market in the world. Therefore, Unjha is known as the Spice Capital of India.
Not only the local farmers but the farmers from the Saurashtra and Rajasthan come here to sell their produce at good prices. We visit Unjha every year as my in-laws are from Unjha.
APMC canteen is nice and food is served at reasonable price. This is very well maintained APMC. The merchants and businessmen of APMC are very influential in politics.
The Kuldevi of Kadva Patidar is Umiya Mata and the temple is also located in Unjha. So Unjha is famous place and all Patels have visited Unjha at least once to worship Umiya Mata.
