What makes stories so appealing?
Humans have been communicating through stories since before we even learnt to read & write. Stories are easier to remember than facts. And, they tap into your imagination. Every story starts with an open loop and the brain is addicted until it finds out what happens in the end. This is what makes stories so appealing!
But, a good story can only take you so far. A good story can be more effective when told by a great storyteller.
At Apple Blossom, our teachers often use storytelling to teach our students new lessons & values.
As a Republic Day special gift, we decided to bring in the expert storyteller, Mrs Deepika Das herself. She is a scientist by profession & a teacher by passion. She helps kids learn important values and new concepts in an experiential way.
Mrs Deepika Das conducted an engaging session, teaching our kids the importance of UNITY IN DIVERSITY. Storytelling was combined with visuals to make it more impactful. We then had a quiz session, asking the students what they learnt from the story. This step is very important, as it ensures a two-way connection. A way for little tots to express themselves.
Our toddlers participated in an art & craft activity to make the National Flag using paper bits. Through this, they learnt the colours present in the National Flag and about the Ashoka Chakra in a fun & interactive way. A Republic Day session would never be complete without the National Anthem. So, we concluded the session by singing the National Anthem together.
We were appalled by the support of the parents who actively participated in the event, and went out of their way to dress up their little todds in tricolour clothes or as freedom fighters. All thanks to their efforts, our event was a robust success.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I feel so comfortable and at ease with taking my son at Apple Blossom ?. Its a lovely place. It is sparkling clean and tidy at all times of the day. It smells so plesant. I would be willing to bet that it has the biggest outdoor play yard of any other daycare/preschool in the city.
The teachers like Himani ma'am engaging, lively and energetic. She is patient and encouraging with both kids and parents.
If you are looking for a place for your child in Gurgaon, I highly recommend for Apple Blossom ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good school where kids are treated well with love and real care, that’s what I feel.You can relax after dropping your kid to the school.
They are particular about hygiene and safety of kids.
My daughter's class teacher Varsha Ma’am is excellent in her work. If we get all teachers like her for our kids specially in play group, we can relax about how child will be treated in the school.
I found very few minus points about school but after discussion, those got resolved in a proper manner.
Principal, Priyanka Ma’am is a very nice lady with compassionate heart for kids and down to earth personality. So 5 ?
