★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kalika Mandir in Indore is two and half Km away from the Khajrana Square. From square the road leading towards khajrana temple, it’s located 50 steps ahead of Khajrana temple in Indore.
The temple was built by an engineer and follower of Kalika mata, Shyam Bapuji in 1976. At that time, they kept a small idol of the goddess for worshiping.
The people also believe that for making this temple Shaym Bapuji has sold his three out of four factories.
The present idol is in the form of Mahishasur Mardhini, it was brought in 1984 from Chitoli Rajasthan. The idol is 9 feet tall and made up of marble.
In the year 1987 the ceremony of consecrating the idol has performed, thereafter the maha aarti started here.
