About Asha Child Care & Development Centre
The ‘Asha Clinic’ was inaugurated in 2007 and initially provided medical services for newborns, children and adolescents. Understanding the needs for children with developmental disorders and training of parents, the Clinic considered its expansion to accommodate a Child Development Centre for Therapies & Remedial Interventions. The Asha Child Care and Development Centre (ACCDC) is a One Stop Solution for Children and Adolescents with Developmental and Behavioral concerns such as Autism, Learning Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities, Down Syndrome and Genetic Disorders, Speech and Language Disorders, Poor Performance in Academic Skills, Sensory Processing Disorders, Sleep Disorders etc.; The Clinic also provides services for Parenting Skills, Dietary and Nutritional Guidance, Adolescent Health & Mental Health Guidance and Counselling etc.
A Multi Disciplinary Team consisting of Developmental Pediatrician, Clinical Psychologist (RCI Registered), Senior Remedial Educators, Special Educators (RCI Registered), Physio - Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Interventionist, Pediatric Nutritionist work together towards improving the developmental concerns and behavioral issues of children visiting us.
Each child receives individualized session for developmental and psychological assessments followed by counselling sessions. An individualized One to One Remedial Interventions and Play Therapy to improve the deficit developmental skills is provided to each child. At our Centre only Evidence Based Therapies are used and non- scientific or trial methods for interventions are avoided. All our Interventions are Parent Mediated for better understanding of the child’s developmental process and deficit skills, the sensory issues and incorporating all information in home environment for better achievement of skills and functioning.
