★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having a sick kid on a Goa trip can be quite difficult, especially when le kid is having the runs and is not ready to eat anything but cheese sandwiches ::rolling eyes::
More difficult is to find a place where cheese sandwich is featured on the menu. (A few restaurants might have it, but their menus were not reflecting so...) So started our short and sweet car-ride from Ponda to almost Margao, after a Google search for cheese sandwich near me.
OK, clarification: the actual rating is 4.5 stars, but Google does not give a half star option.
The place may seem dinky from the outside, and the interior may remind you of typical 70s-80s decor, but their service and food was anything but!
A deeper perusal of the menu showed up gems like dabeli, chaat options along with a slew od bread items. The owners were extremely fast with their service and the dishes were yummy! The cheese sandwich was literally stuffed with grated cheese, the grilled cheese was a nice crispy golden and did not even go in the brown colour palette. The samosa chaat was tasty and the samosa corners were crunchy, not flaky. The dabeli was a good combination of sweet and spicy (more on the sweet side, which I prefer and can eat). We saw them make fresh samosas outside, which actually made us order the samosa chaat dish.
The service was quick, efficient, quiet. The owner himself was doubling as the server that day I think.
The place was super clean, like I became really conscious when crumbs fell from the grilled sandwich, that clean. And though the decor looked a bit worn and dull, it was nonetheless spotless.
It was not crowded at the time that we went, but we could hear the phone ringing off the hook frequently with customer orders.
I generally look at toilet facilities wherever I visit, basically because, as a female, I face a lot of issues finding clean toilets. And here, despite all the other pluses, I would have to deduct half a star. Their toilets were being repaired. And le kid had a sudden toilet emergency.....luckily, the nearby hospital allowed us to use their facilities when they saw it was a small child. So, a grateful shout out to the Yashodhan Hospital as well.

This place was an all in one for us.
Very good ambience and awesome food.
Worth A Try.
Staff were super co operative.

It was really lip smacking and tastes were good of all the food that we took and all had unanimous opinion of great taste. Thank you Ashirwad for your real good food.

Infact we ordered 2 extra Parantha n had in evening with Chai and it was equally tasty n fresh. Aloo paratha combo was served with Chole, pulav, salad and chutney. We ordered paneer pizza for our daughter and she liked it too. We also ordered Dal rice combo and Paneer Tikka. Everything was perfect ?
