We at AFDA work toward the day when every single member of society is accepted for the unique ways in which he or she can contribute. No, not every person is able to contribute in the same manner, but everyone, no matter his or her ability, is able to contribute in some manner. Each of us has a unique part to play in this great nation of ours. We at AFDA labour for the day when each and every child is accepted as a fellow contributor and valued member of our society.

We at Ashish Foundation are working towards our students having valued roles in our society and enjoying the good things in life.  We are empowering our students by enhancing their image and their competencies to take up valued social roles.  We also empower the students’ families with skills to support their family member with autism.  Our ultimate goal is to help these children and adults lead fulfilling and productive lives, and to be accepted and included in the mainstream of society.

Who We Are

Ashish Foundation for the Differently Abled (AFDA) Charitable Trust, is a non-profit organization located in Dwarka, west Delhi.  We were established in 2007 to serve children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. Often, people with disabilities are pushed to the margins of society, sometimes even in their own families.  However, we believe that each individual has the ability and deserves the opportunity to contribute to the society. 

AFDA also reaches out to the families of individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.  We mentor parents in addressing the specific support needs of their children.  We also provide training to our staff and other professionals to enhance their skills so they can provide better support.

Reaching out beyond our own circle, we also aim to increase awareness about autism within the community.  We desire that the community not only accept people with autism but also include them as part of the society.  Additionally, we mentor several disability-focused organisations across India and abroad.

AFDA works towards a world where people with autism and other intellectual disabilities are included and respected as part of the community. We hope to achieve this through our various programmes and initiatives that empower individuals with autism and their families.

Our Vision

We envision transformed communities of people who view and value each differently abled person as created in God’s image, and inherently able to attain his or her God-given potential to lead a fulfilling life.

Our Mission

1. To provide holistic education and support to children with disabilities and their families so that these children can achieve their God-given potential.
2. To create awareness in the community for constructive response and engagement on autism and other disabilities.
