3 slot system under there , in morning jogmaya devi college for arts students , in days Asutosh college for science students , and Shyama peasad college for Commerce .. One of the best college In Kolkata. Big big names are there. Located near Hazra(jatindas park metro)
For travel - From sealdah take a bus 230 , 3c1or anything that goes Behala , kalighat , Anandapur , Alipoor etc , and from Howrah take a bus Of Tallygaung or Rasbehari , Behala etc.. or you can came here with Kolkata metro easily from ant station to Jatis das park metro station....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good college and great faculty. The college consists of four buildings and the building seen from Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Road is the oldest and main building. Three colleges are located in the same building: Jogamaya Devi College (morning section), Asutosh College (day section), and Shyama Prasad College (evening section). Asutosh College is the main one. Social and cultural events happen all year round. Good infrastructure and well maintained libraries. and The management is not that good and college politics is a big con like any other government college in Kolkata.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was established on 17th July, 1916 by educationist and patriot Sir Asutosh Mukhopadhyay. It was then called South Subarban College. In pursuant the death of Sir Asutosh Mukhopadhyay the same was given to new name as Asutosh College in 1924. It is affiliated by the University of Calcutta. It has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. It has been recognised by the University of Grants Commission.About twenty eight subjects are taught here. It has been awarded to provide postgraduate degree in 2002. Following are the postgraduate subjects. Environmental Science, Applied Geology, Bengali, Computer Science, Information Science, Geography and Zoology. Here students and teachers ratio in Honours Course is welcome. Faculties are good. The result is very satisfactory. The college was granted Mother Teresa International Award for outstanding achievement and contribution in 2012. Few distinguished ex-students are as follows. Amitabha Chowdhury, Journalist, P. C. Sarkar Jr, Illusionist, Amlan Datta, Educationist; few Politicians:- Firhad Hakim, Gurudas Dasgupta, Partha Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty, Geeta Mukherjee; Actors:- Dhiraj Bhattacharya, Tripti Mitra, Rabi Ghosh, Basab Nandi, Ranjit Mullick; Authors:- Tarasankar Bandopadhyay, Mahesweta Devi, Kabita Sinha; Singers:- Hemanta Mukhopadhyay, Anjan Dutta, Nachiketa Chakraborty, Anup Ghoshal; Footballers:- Sunil Chetri, Chuni Goswami, Syed Naeemuddin etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm a Sociology Honors student in Asutosh College which is under the prestigious Calcutta University. Asutosh college is the main college and the day shift also coeducational . The morning being Jogomaya Devi and evening being Shyamaprasad .
I love the teaching faculty as well as non-teaching staff as well. Very culturally, religious and ethnically diverse college with cultural festivals. Also, it's a strictly anti-ragging college. Library is good as well. You're not being forced to join student political parties. The college offers various Civil Service courses as well.
The main college building is located in Bhowanipore, heart of metropolitan Kolkata. You can find public transportation easily as well plenty of food stalls as well.
Please maintain good communication with seniors as well as with professors obvi. Focus on education first because CU is extremely strict on Honors departments.
Noone ever forced me to join any political student union and this is my final semester.
Edit : The faculty maybe extremely rude at times even the office desk people. They need some soft skills. Also the classrooms need to be cleaned because red spitting marks are there which is disgraceful. Also, the Library needs to be serious. Because the environment is too noisy and fights breakout often.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Three beautiful years of my life spent here, only complain being with the functioning of their staffs. They are all cooperative, but I believe it could still be better if they actually tried to improvise. Under the Calcutta University, this is one of the best and popular colleges out there in the South Kolkata area.
