★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aurangabad caves are two groups (east & west) of 12 Buddhist caves. They are very beautiful & well preserved, but often overshadowed by the Ajanta & Ellora caves. They are located in the outskirts of the city. Ola & local autos & cabs are available to visit the caves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the many cave monasteries found all over India, this being closest to Aurangabad. The place is a couple of kilometres from Bibi ka Maqbara. Remember to bring your own reserved vehicle, as you may not get any when returning. The caves are in two sections, with one kilometre gap in between. Should ideally take around 1 hour to complete.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place to visit for couple. Not many tourists as the sculptures pale in comparison to elora caves. But the view is beautiful panorama of the valley. Must take lots of water as it involves a 4 storey high climb. Avoid going in the afternoon.
