Restaurant is located at heart of kormangala. The good meals are awesome, definitely gives a well cooked homely feeling. Love to go back again and try a new dish .?

I am born and brought up in Assam. I have a soft corner for anything related to Assam and especially the food. Went there for the first time. Ordered a pork thali. My friends ordered chicken thali as they were not sure of the pork. However, the thali was amazing. The food was tasty, dal was good, Khar was nice, Aloo Pitika was amazing with a lot of mustardy flavour, Paleng haak was nice, rice was more than sufficient and not to forget the pork curry. Even they found the chicken to be tender and tasty. It is also decently priced. I must say value for money. The quantity was sufficient. Infact it was quite a bit more for my appetite. They have good Assamese songs playing in the background which gives you a feel good factor. Also the staff there is friendly and courteous. The wait time is roughly about 15 mins which is pretty decent. They have a variety of Authentic Assamese dishes as well. The place is not very big and is inside a lane in Koramangala and can be missed out if you do not know about it. They should work on a little bit in highlighting and advertising the place. Also it is at the first floor. They have tried to recreate a mini Assam inside. Their furnitures are made of Bamboo and they have japis and horais and paintings from Assamese culture to cover their interiors. All the staff speak Assamese.

Good food good taste with proper Assamese cuisine . But the ambience isn't very good. Very small place. There is hardly any place to walk. Very hot in summer days as the fan is also limited. Not air conditioned. Less number of helpers or waiters. So you may expect delay in getting a seat and taking your order. But you must try once if you like assames food.

Nigh impossible to locate since the point in Google maps is wrong. The name in the signboard has faded away, so you might not notice this little Assamese gem among the overwhelming concentration of eateries in the area. Located where it shows the Bangalore Assamese Society in the Google maps, exactly opposite to Zingron restaurant, you have to climb up to the second floor to step into this quaint restaurant. The quality of food has detereorated over the years. The fish smelled. The aloo pitika had gone bad before being served. The thalis were not fresh. The lusi and aloo bhajo were good though. Next time, I think I'll head to the new rooftop version of the restaurant off koramangala sony signal.

On 26th of March we visited Axomi, but to be honest It was one of the bad experience which I had never come across. 1st ordered Veg thali, which all the Sabjis were cold expect the rice.. Axomi, We assamese people would never have Cold Sabjis if you know. And one more thing, when it is Thali, we mean "Kahor Kahi", not some cheap Steel thali. Then Chicken curry which not at all of Assamese taste. Ami Axomiai eneke ketiao nakhao. The pork fry was good out of all must tell u that. But the soft drinks which were served in the Glasses should not be more than 20 rupees per glass which they took 30rs each just for 1glass. Total bill was 660rs. I Don't recommend anyone. True be honest, this is not called "Axomia khana".

Was craving for North Eastern Food since some time, finally we headed to AXOMI Taste Of Assam Koramangala 7th block..!! I ordered a Veg Meal which had Steamed Rice, Dal - tempered with Panchphoran in mustard Oul and had a slight pickle-ish taste - Burst of tastes in the mouth yet balanced. Aaloo Pithika - mashed Potato coriander and Onions, more like Choka. Brinjal pan fry - A slice of it Mixed Veg Sabji - Stir fry with basic tempering and curry powders, perfect. Khar - Stir fry of Raw Papaya in mustard oil, garlic and Baking Soda till it becomes Mushy - different, bland but good. Xaak - Stir fried Greens. And Curd..!! Beguni Pithika and Beguni Pakora are ordered seperately..!! Sanil ordered Khorikat Pura Ghahori - Roasted Pork with basic masalas served with loads of slices of fresh green chillies and Onion with Mustard Oil Drizzle - Very good Pork Curry with Xaak - Pork cooked along with greens in mustard oil with Basic spices - Simple yet Brilliant .
