It was in the year 1971, a group of Ayyappa devotees joined together in R.K.Puram and started conducting community pujas, bhajans, kirtans, Ayyappan Pattu (traditional songs in a style praising the Lord) on a regular basis. As a sequel, the Ayyappa Pooja samithi took birth in 1973. Slowly and steadily the Samithi gained in popularity and on 10th May 1973, it became a registered body.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Divine place. Building is so traditional that it seems to be in Kerala only. This place is well connected with road and has own parking space which is free.
During winters to get rid of cold, the temple management provides masala tea (without milk) I know this because I have too ☕

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well maintained temple and best time to visit would be in evenings where the outer wall diyas will be lit . In mandala season there is annadanam in afternoon on a daily basis and bhajans in evening . There is ambient space for car parking and if travelling by metro rk puram metro station is 15 min by walk. There is a small park in near vicinity for kids to play and complex also enhouses public toilet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The temple is well maintained. I just loved going there with my friends. It's totally worth of 5 stat rating. Well,, sometimes 5 star hotel can't give you that much positivity which I got here. I think everyone should try to visit holy places. They are full of positive energy and calmness. You will really enjoy. Every holy place is special in its own. I went in there in the evening and I enjoyed a lot with my friends.
