★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not at all helpful. Shame for a star hotel to manage in a pathetic way. Sometimes they have self imposed rules which other shops don't have.
There are better alternative in the city, with better etiquettes. Also I was shocked on how they misbehave with the customer.
Suggestion for the Hotel: If you cannot manage please stop the service as it would hamper your brand image.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An attractive hotel in the middle of the city with a fantastic liquor permit store.
But.. The staff people sitting at the desk of this store do not actually know how to treat people nicely. How to treat people who are new to Gujarat and have their permit with themselves. How to help people in such situations. Instead, they treat customers as if they have been allowed to discriminate on the basis of their mood. Petty people. Educated, Hotel management professionals with such a downtrodden etiquette. Shame on you Mariott! Learn to treat people nicely first and help them in need. Even when PED supports the permit, then who are these two 'managers' to question PED's mandate.
I wish I knew the names of those two guys. They just need to learn a lesson. Getting them fired would do it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible service. No customer service people. Help desk outside the liquor shop is unattended most of the time. A person mostly visits for liquor after office hours but no person during that time is available to help you out with general queries. People inside don't allow you without your liquor permit and document with you. So there is a complete mess. You will end up coming down and asking the Marriott people for a help. If you are first timer be well equipped with your permit otherwise you will face problem . And above all SHOP CLOSES AT 8.00 AM SHARP.

They need lots of documents from the Customer.
The store had lot of alcohol brands and was at the MRP only. This store was located at Marriott Courtyard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I understand the person who is at desk to handle applications has a lot of job to do but he's unnecessarily rude.
Given the reputation of Marriott hotel, having such a rude person at desk is definitely a big disappointment.
I literally had to complain about his behavior to higher manager one day.
Facility wise the place is decent, won't claim it to be the best.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went there twice. But, really bad experience!
First time when I went there, there was no stocks for beers. When I went 2nd time, they did not consider the e permit just because the bank statement (for address proof) was 1 month old and they rejected the application. Really bad experience. Rude staff. Make sure that you look millionaire there. Else, leave aside your respect. They treat you in bad manner.
Also, Prices are also a bit high compared to hotel Metropole.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went with my house guest and found that some staff members indulge in all types of courrpt practices. They first give excuses why liquor to tourist permit holders can not be given etc and then agree to process permit for some extra money.
