Good place for marriage, engagement, ring ceremony, thread ceremony, birthdat parties etc. cooking facility and utensil are available here by temple committee with nominal rate. Good place!! Famous festival is Sitala Sasthi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is of historical importance. The deity Lord Balunkeswara or Shiva is famous for having altered the sex of baby girl to boy in case of some king of Odisha. Hence, people visit the temple in hope of begetting a son. The shrine is famous amongst the local villages near Puri. The irritants are as usual. Hindu temples in Odisha are devoid of the minimal degree of cleanliness expected. Whether carrying the mindset of a devotee or a tourist, one is appalled at unclean sight. The village in which the shrine is located is also very dirty.
