★ ★ ★ ★ ★ world’s biggest Shirdi Saibaba statue here has got a new look as part of the beautification works of the Saibaba temple. The 54-foot-high and 36-foot-wide statue made of cement was built by Lakshmipuram Vittal Rao and sculpted by A. Manikyala Rao and his son Venkateswara Rao.
The yellow-coloured landmark was installed here in 2007, attracting attention of tourists and devotees from across the country. The statue is a single masterpiece in which Saibaba is seen sitting on two tigers with a tortoise under his foot. The beautification works will be completed within two weeks. Modernisation of the temple and beautification of the statue have been a long dream realised this year, according to an official statement by the temple committee. A few dozen workers had to work on giving new look to the statue. In 2007, the Indian Book of Records declared the statue as the biggest Saibaba temple in the world.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Land mark temple. Pooja's are performed religiously and Anna daanam programs is a highlight. Crowd is very high on Thursday s and festival days. No parking for vehicles which is a major bottleneck. Otherwise must visit temple.
