A beautiful place to visit, this wonderful place is located near Durgapur. You can come here with family and friends. If you come by crossing Joydev then it is good, Pandawesar road is not good. But remember in rainy season you have to take ferry ⛴ to cross joydev ajay river. I am attaching few awesome images with this review. And if you video then please search on YouTube - "Durgapur to Bakreswar Dam" you will find "Explore Durgapur" channel. Thank you?

Nice beautifully decorated place with wide and vast waterbody. As per the technicaians present there it was built by blocking Bakreswar and Mayurakshee river. Beautiful migratory birds roam in the water. The surrounding places also look great. Situated in the outskirt, this place is approachable through nice and beautiful tribal villages, sonajhuri forests and red muddy roads.

Bakreswar Dam has made over bakreswar river & mayurakhi river. The Bakreshwar River is a tributary of the Mayurakshi River. It originates in Santhal Parganas division of Jharkhand. It then flows through Birbhum district and meets the Kopai River. It’s gaining more tourist attention for it’s amazing nature views, dusky romantic sunset view also you can watch migrate birds, chilling weather. Well preserved & well maintained place. Best place for kids, friends, family picnic ? Winter season is best to visit this place. I’ve been there last week, roads are very good, Dubrajpur - suri - Raniganj all are connected nicely.
