Incredible Civil Engineering to construct a bridge ? on sea ?. It’s great experience to pass from Bandra -Worli Sea link .It connects Bandra to South Mumbai in lesser time . Many a times we take sea- link route just to take a look & feel of it .

Amazing view, really a better way to travel and very convenient. It’s just way better while traveling from bandra east to bandra west. A good view. Due to the highway, traveling turns at ease and really quick, you can actually catch up to places.

The Bandra–Worli Sea Link (officially known as Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link[1]) is a 5.6 km long, 8-lane wide bridge that links Bandra in the Western Suburbs of Mumbai with Worli in South Mumbai. It is a cable-stayed bridge with pre-stressed concrete-steel viaducts on either side. It is a part of the proposed Western Freeway that will link the Western Suburbs to Nariman Point in Mumbai's main business district. The 1M bridge was commissioned by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), and built by the Hindustan Construction Company. The first four of the eight lanes of the bridge were opened to the public on 30 June 2009.[9] All eight lanes were opened on 24 March 2010. The sea-link reduces travel time between Bandra and Worli during peak hours from 20 to 30 minutes to 10 minutes.[10] As of October 2009, BWSL had an average daily traffic of around 37,500 vehicles.[11]

The View point is a park along the coast, where a river merges into the sea. It is a drainage river, so there was bad odour through out. Park is not maintained well enough. Also, when I was there, there was rain and not many places to hide under.
