Thousands offer prayers to their ancestors at the city's river banks or sacred ponds, a ritual called Tarpana. The inauguration of the Goddess idol starts on Mahashasthi. The main puja is for three days - Mahasaptami, Mahaastami, Mahanavami. The puja rituals are long and very detailed and complicated. Three days of Mantras and Shlokas and Arati and offerings - needs an expert priest to do this kind of Puja. Because of this, the number of Pujas privately conducted by families has lessened and Durga Puja has emerged as a community festival.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a very devotional place.Originally Lord Hanuman was worshiped.Any body who misplace any thing could find out by the grace and worship kind Hanuman.Here the oldest and elder Lord Ganaesh is worshiped every year on Ganaesh chaturthi.Elderly because the deity in his dhoti looks wisest and eldest and different from any other Ganaesh idol.Now adays Goddess Drugs on Dussehar and Kali idol is worshiped on Diwali.The place Bania Sahi is famous for filigree and Golden fine works .The artisans are skilled.The place is famous for Gold and silver market.
