★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Barbati Fort in Cuttack in Oddisa is a well known fort with carved gateway. It is about 8km away from the city. It is a 14th century fort build during the Ganga dynasty. The fort is situated on the river Mahanadi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Barabati Fort is a 13th-century fort built by the rulers of the Eastern Ganga dynasty in Cuttack, Odisha, India. The ruins of the fort remain with its moat, gate, and the earthen mound of the nine-storied palace, which evokes the memories of past days. Today it sits next to the modern Barabati Stadium, the venue of various sport events and cultural programs. There is also a temple dedicated to Katak Chandi, the presiding deity of the city, not far away from the fort. Now there are plans to develop the old Gadakhai into a world class tourist destination with boating facilities and a world class park. The renovation work of the Gadakhai is going on in full swing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Barabati Fort is strategically located between two rivers i,e Mahanadi and Kathajodi. One Gadakhai or canal with crocodiles is too present around it for its security. Now crocodiles are not here and the fort is in ruins. Still beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Actually there is too much place to play games. But I didn't like the historical place. Because the area is big. But the historical area is too much shorter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the famous place of cuttack, located close to barabati stadium. The fort is open full day but not sure about the park. It's good for walking or doing exercise especially in the morning and evening time. Overall the place is neat clean and covered with vegetation and it give a different feeling compared to the town and that feels so great ????.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place for photo and video shoot.... Not a big location but it's nice to visit here. Grassy lawn and rock structures are there. Evening 4pm onwards, it is great to visit. Hardly 2 hour is enough to enjoy. City auto drivers also not know about this location, so be careful, they may charge heavy, so prefer ola as Only nearby people know about this location....
