B. S. G. H. is nowadays famous for C-19 Hospital. But, 2 years ago, this hospital cared everyone and the treatment was fine. There were many good Doctors available in B. S. G. H. It is the most famous hospitals in Baranagar, but the other than doctors, medical staffs behavior is not good.

Services are very poor. Each and every time when you visit here for treatment they just refer to any other hospital by saying they don't have the facilities. Different departments are there but most of the cases they don't treat by giving the excuse like dental dept., Biochemistry dept.etc. Emergency dept has nothing to deal with really emergency cases. Go there at your own risk to avoid harrasment.

State owned hospital at Baranagar. Service is available for 24 hours. You can easily reach by a hardly walk of 3~4 mins from Baranagar Tobin road stop(On B.T.Road). Not so much clean. Service is poor even in outdoor and emergency section also. Employees are also not so cooperative and behaviour is also not as you expect. Sulobh medicine shop is there in the complex. Other private medicine shop is there outside the complex. Actually a huge crowd in general day time. Beds are available for admission.

This hospital is good for the poor as well as needy people. The Emergency ward is open 24*7 so in case of any mishap one can visit here and get assisted by the professionals.

It is just OK for primary health care and maternity needs. An 'OPD' is run there every day. Emergency unit is not very equipped to handle serious cases, in that case they refer elsewhere. Behavior of the staffs other than physicians are not upto the mark .

Went there for mild symptoms of Covid. The outpatient dept took 2 Rs for a blank prescription sheet. The doctor listened carefully my problems. Prescribed me some medicines. Also suggested me to go for a free covid test at the hospital. Received free medicines from the hospital. The swab sample collection happend in the same day and got the negative result after 48 hours. Overall good experience for a government hospital.
