Due to non availability of better train facilities passenger of Begusarai are compelled to board trains from Mokama (MKA), Hathidah, Barauni junction (BJU) , Khagaria and Patna . After inauguration of Shrikrishna Setu Munger ganga bridge people were expecting trains to Bhagalpur , Howrah , Bhuvaneshvar , Chennai , Hyderabad , Bengaluru , Rameshvaram from different locations of Bihar , UP , Uttarakhand , JK, Delhi , Haryana , Punjab , Rajasthan , Gujrat and Maharashtra but due to some reason it's still a dream only. Begusarai lies in North Bihar and is surrounded by Khagaria in North-East, Munger in South-East, Patna in West and Samastipur in North-West.[6] Begusarai lies in the middle of the mid Ganga plain and generally has low lying terrain with South to South Easterly slope.[7] Begusarai is basically divided in three flood plains namely :1) Ganga Flood Plain 2) Burhi Gandak As per 2011 census Begusarai Municipal Corporation had a total population of 251,136, out of which 133,931 were males and 117,205 were females with sex ratio at 875. This railway station is very nice and clean station of Begusarai district. It is junction station is awesome and here is only two platforms working for passenger trains and others one for heavy duty material trains( in local Rak points). All features are available on platform number one. Waiting rooms also available. All food and drinks item are also available on platform number one. Outside the station there is also bike and car taxi stands.

This place is very awesome ??Begusarai Railway Station is situated between Barauni and Khagariya junction on Katihar line. This is a neat, clean and well designed station. All comfortable facilities for the passengers are available.

Begusarai railway station is under sonapur division. It is situated on the NH-31. The Begusarai Bis stand is also in front of the Begusarai railway station. This station is very clean . No of plateform is 3. Parking facility is also there. All major trains are stopped here.
