★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only the name Behala Tram Depot exists to remember that longtime ago this place was a busy terminus of trams. The now defunct Route No. 35 would start from here for Dalhousie via Esplanade carrying a loadful of Writers' Building clerks who would get in when it was past their reporting for work time. They will have a powerful nap on the way. However, it had a fresh lease of life in 1984 when Tram service was extended to Joka. The name of this place remains only to remind us of a bygone era when life was less hectic and there was time for a nap on the way to office.
