★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn't feel value for money justified here.The service/experienece provided is as important as the end-product given. None can substitute for the another.
Pros (Product):
1. The owner is a soft-spoken lady, very up-to-date with latest/trendy design skills. If you are unsure of what kind of design you want, she will guide you in the right direction.
2. The final product handed over was satisfactory.
Cons (Service/Experience):
1. Hand-over of stitched item: We (mostly my mom) ended up doing multiple rounds of the boutique as the items were not ready on-time. This is a big hassle if you don't live nearby or have a busy schedule.
2. Time taken: Two of the blouses took more than a month to get stitched for multiple reasons (one got stitched in wrong measurement which had to corrected, proper lining was not available for other one). One month for a blouse is a really long time and requires lot of patience from customers.
3. Price: Rates are more than your average neighborhood tailor, but the above 2 major cons make it even more hard to justify.
- Blouse with Lining: 550/-
- Unstitched blouse + semi-stitched lehenga: 1500/- (without latkan)
The beige and green lehenga was given with a bright pink dori and I was asked to bring it again for correction. Ultimately, I was told to manage the dori myself as no green fabric was left after choli stitching.
4. Customers are reminded to be "forgiving and have patience" if they firmly express dissatisfaction with the time taken and the hassle underwent. Would have been better if the expectations were set right from the beginning.
If customers are expected to "be patient", please also say upfront that it might take more than a month to deliver with multiple visits. Atleast, I would know what I am getting into and would plan accordingly.
