Very good experience. I m a Student of IGNOU n their study centre is this college very good staffs. Surrounding areas are just awesome. Wholesome weather. But union has become powerful in the college. Politicition can be seen. Overall a nice place. Those who are not from the locality can get PGs or Hotels very easily

I was here for my ISI (Indian Statistical Institute) entrance exam. I would have given a perfect 5 on 5 if It had not rained that afternoon. So here is my review: 1. The campus is just amazing to just roam around. It's filled with greenery and also very and well maintained 2. The classrooms are not huge but it's good. 3. The staff was very helpful to the outside students. 4. Just a few minutes from Belghoria Railway station (via Auto Rickshaw) 5. Now comes the bad part, that afternoon it rained heavily for around 90 minutes and the campus was nearly flooded. The water levels are high enough to completely immerse your shoes and my favorite leather shoes were totally spoilt. So reducing 1 star. wish could have given 4.5 stars

A decent college under West Bengal State University. The best departments in the facility are Dept. Of Geography and B.Com. Student union is a bit influencial but also helpful if you know who to deal with it.

Very nice college. The inside and the outside of the college is very clear. The college has a big playground and a small but beautiful garden, full with beautiful flowers. Classrooms are also big and sitting place's style like theater. There is a pond on the east side of the college but the pond is very dirty. There is small capacity to sitting outside of the college. The college will seem small to see from the outside. There are one or two shops for study material around the college.

Sometime in 1955, Sri Jibandhan Ganguly, a renowned social worker and educationist from Belgharia, donated about 11 bighas of land to the West Bengal Government for the setting up of a degree college in Belgharia for the teaching of arts, science, and commerce. The primary objective was to provide higher education opportunities for boys and, more particularly, for girls in the industrial area of Belgharia since it was inconvenient to continue higher education in Kolkata. The college came into being on 3 September 1968. The Government subsequently merged the Arts Section of the Vivekananda Centenary College with the newly established Bhairab Ganguly College, and this came as a booster to the new institution as a good number of experienced teachers joined the college. In 1969 it opened an Evening Commerce Section to meet the demand for Commerce education. However, this was subsequently merged with the day session in 1980.

Bhairab Ganguly College is co-educational and offers three-year degree courses in all three main streams of Humanities, Science, and Commerce. Since 1997-98, vocational courses in Advertising, Sales Promotion and Sales Management, sponsored by University Grants Commission (UGC), have been introduced at the degree level. It was my college

Very poor faculties and guest lectures working in the college. Otherwise facilities are somewhat manageable. Another big concern is the very rude and poor behavior of the college clerks and office employees.
