★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the village where I was born. This is a very developed and prosperous village in the Hooghly district, under Dhaniakhali police station. This village is conveniently located at a distance of 12 km from Haripal Station on Howrah - Tarakeswar - Arambagh rail line and 7 km from Belmuri railway station on Howrah - Burdwan chord line. Regular bus service and other communication services are available from both of these stations. NH-2 is only at a distance of 10 km from here. One need to leave NH-2 at Maheshapur to come to this village via Dhaniakhali or taking a left turn at Feeder Road.
There are two high schools in this village. Bhanderhati BM Institution and Bhanderhati Balika Bani Mandir. There are three government sponsored primary schools and three non-government kindergarten schools in the village. There is a very lively and busy market in the village. The village has a very beautiful atmosphere and surrounded by green fields on all sides.
