Bhangarh is an Ancient Site protected and maintained by Archaeological survey of India. It does seem exciting with it's stories of it being one of the most haunted places in India but the place itself doesn't offer much atleast during the daytime. It barely even looks like a castle anymore, surrounded by 4 beautiful temples, a huge lawn and a mesmerizing view of Aravali mountain range. But the Bhangarh doesn't seem to live upto it's stories and excitement we usually see on internet. But if you're around the area it's a decent place to spend some time at.

Haunting and eerie experience, as was expected. Goverment managed site, children below 14 are entered free. That too is an eerie fact in my opinion :-)) . clean and hygienic washrooms are much wanting .Typical government apathy. Increase the ticket prices a bit and provide some basic facilities dudes.

Nice fort. Stories famous that this is a haunted fort. Big complex including few temples and gardens. Nearby natives visit here for picnic plus special pooja. Though not absolutely clean but at least not stinking like many other forts in India. Tickets can be bought on asi website at Rs 5 discount or in cash at Rs 25 per person

Popularly known for being the most haunted place in India, Bhangarh was, in fact, a flourishing town of ancient times. Built for his son, Man Singh I, in the 17th century by Madho Singh, one of the nine ratnas of Emperor Akbar’s court, Bhangarh Fort was once a thing of beauty and power. It is believed that over 10,000 people used to reside in Bhangarh before it was allegedly deserted overnight. The Bhangarh Fort is located on the border of the Sariska Reserve in the Aravali range of hills in Alwar district of Rajasthan. The nearest village is Gola ka Baas. The fort is situated at the foot of the hills on sloping terrain. One have to walk around more than a half kilometre through the ruins of an ancient market and town to reach the ruins of the actual fort. The ruins of the king's palace are located on the lower slope of the hills; trees surround the pond area and a natural stream falls into the pond within the premises of the palace. Standing in ruins, this 400 years old grand edifice and the spread market town still provide the glimpse of an ancient hustling bustling locality. ASI puts notices everywhere in the premises to stay away from the ruins after sunset.

Was expecting to experience negative vibes or atleast spookiness of the place due to such a widespread rumours of the place itself. But was pleasently surprised by how well kept and beautiful the place is in actuality. Once in a lifetime visit! There are no ghosts, just enjoy your visit to this historic place and it's innumerable tales.

Beautiful place and well maintained. No need to be scared of Ghosts. However, would recommend to take a Govt approved Guide with you. You will enjoy the stories, he will narrate.
