The Property Dealer is quite irresponsible when it comes to meet the end with where security deposit has to be returned even being given 1 month prior notice. It took me 41 days of continuous calling and dropping reminders. Finally I had to inform the property owner who was unaware and misinformed about the transaction.
Kindly note According to the Draft Model Tenancy Laws prescribed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs once the premises are vacated, the owner must refund the security deposit to tenants within one month. If at all elongated can be reported to police on the ground of Tenant harassment.
My overall experience was very poor.
