For watching seasonally migratory birds like lesser Flamingoes and perennially visiting migratory Indian birds who come here to nest and roost like the Painted Stork, Indian Cormorant, Black Scoot, Glossy Black Ibis, Asian Openbill, Bar Geese and Shelducks etc. Limited car parks so plan early morning. In winters the drive from Pune to this place is itself worth it. Pros 1. Toll road approach so an enjoyable drive. 2. NH approach so your restrooms and breakfast options are taken care of. 3. Boatmen and villagers are friendly. 4. Instant catch of fresh Tilapia and Shrimp when available. Seasonal. 5. Reasonable boating costs. Cons 1.Not suitable for people with mobility issues. 2. No toilets or breakfast options on the site. That's it. Get your cameras, selfie sticks ready and do get ample food and water for kids and elderly. Get good shades/sunglasses else water reflecting the sun will hurt your eyes. Getting binoculars is also a good idea. Request visitors to not disturb the birds or nests, lowest amount of noise possible to allow the birds to keep coming back. Please do not litter. There are other watching points availble nearby if the one you went to is already crowded. Do ask for directions if you are lost. Bhigwan fish market nearby is also a good place to buy fresh caught fish or get your catch cleaned.
g	geogie george on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience, this bird sanctuary is a must visit during February- March season when lots of migratory birds come in . We went for bird watching through Samrudhi bird sanctuary. Our guide Rahul took us to the spot early morning and gave us the best bird watching experience, Rahul had deep knowledge and great expert of all kinds of birds which helped us understand better. Surely flamingos are must watch birds which comes to India in this season only . Take a binocular or a camera with minimum 300 mm lens.

One should try to reach early in the morning around 5:30 am to enjoy the real deal after 8 am only few birds can sighted. Either early mornings or around 5 in the evening. Ideal months to visit is from October till march end. Flamingos can be sighted starting from the month of February and march.
A	Aditya Sahu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall a nice experience, saw many migrated birds here. But as per expectation there were less birds and you need to take help of binoculars for bird watching. Roads were very good and able to reach this Sanctuary in 2 hrs from Viman Nagar.

Best season to visit is December to February and best time is early morning or evening ❤️ Centre of attraction is beautiful flamingos. You have to take boat ride to see these different birds from near. It will take one and half one to reach at bhigwan from Pune. One must try bigwan special fish in local restaurants there.

B	Bhushan Bhangale on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good place to see variety of migratory and local birds. We visited at around 3:30 PM which is a good time apart from early morning. Our boat guide Ram shown over 20 different birds with lot of patience. Taken us deep into very good spots. Enough space to park many cars and around 7-8 boats I noticed at this location. Boat charges Rs 1000 for an hour.
